Stayed at facility named Barrier Island Resort in Kitty Hawk NC as gift from friend. What a disappointing dump. Recumbent bikes electronics don't work. Two bottles of germ killers for four work-out rooms. Work-out equipment looks like haven't been cleaned...

After arriving at the resort we had booked with our week through RCI we found that we had to pay full price at the time of check in. Appearantly the computer systems did not catch up with our late switch of resorts. RCI representative assured us that our $2000 would be...

Rci Timeshare in Roanoke, Virginia - RCI IS A SCAM

SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO PROTECT CONSUMERS FROM RCI, THEY ARE RIPPING PEOPLE A NEW ONE!!! Not only did I have to pay 10,000.00 for the timeshare I've paid a small fortune in fees and Have traveled very few times because they raise the points so high you don't have enough to go anywhere. The customer service is rude and refuses to help you. I've been hung up on more times by them than I can count. I had to pay over 800.00 in fees this year to book my vacation. Rip off!

It was ONE THING when RCI took the 3 BR RED WEEK at Hilton Head (..."Top of the Line... you can trade for ANYthing, ANYwhere...") and arbitrarily decided to "assign" random trading power to our week (depending on "supply and demand"). To now find that they are taking...

Rci Timeshare in Roanoke, Virginia - RCI Steals money from me & fees over $100

I went online to pay for a vacation in Williamsburg, VA. The RCI site would not process my payment of $175.45. Called on the phone customer service(?) to fix problem & pay. This has happened more than half dozen times. No fix has ever been found. So, customer service was unable to process transaction either. Was held on phone well over an hour trying to simply pay, put on hold for 10 - 15 minute intervals, denied access to a supervisor, agent tried at least 3 times to manually process(?) transaction of $175.45. Was told this was an RCI problem as previous times before. Put on hold additional 20 minutes & then call disconnected. Repeated call backs left unanswered. This all happened Friday, Feb. 17, 2012. On Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, RCI processed a charge to my bank for $200.45 and another charge of $25.00. These two UNAUTHORIZED charges to my account resulted in two $28.00 overdraft charges. Called RCI customer service again. Was told they could not explain their error, original agent/supervisor had to fix, were unavailable until Monday AM. It is now Monday, Feb.20, 2012. Called RCI again. Told problem not resolved & could not talk to anyone else at RCI. They would call. Treated rudely, unprofessionally, uncaringly, This is FRAUD!!! This company MUST be held RESPONSIBLE for their UNETHICAL, ILLEGAL, FRAUDULENT ACTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REPORTING TO AUTHORITIES NOW !!!. FED UP!!!!!!! t

RCI Timeshare Points Program Failed Me

I hate RCI. It is indeed a scam and every good thing that you are told at the initial presentation has an even higher price to pay. In trying to use my points toward a flight, the website failed me. When I tried to use it the next day, flight prices had skyrocketed. I still booked my flight, which only used about half my available points. When I tried to book another flight, the website said I had 0 points, which was untrue. I am a RCI Platinum member and I own at a resort with 122,000 yearly points and have 61,000 points for use, and I only used 31,000. I called, waited about 20 minutes, and spoke to a rep who said he would have to transfer me to get the issue resolved. Waited another 10 minutes, and the line hung up on there end. Called back, waited another 20 minutes, and the representative said that the person assigned to my case was now GONE, and I will have to wait until tomorrow (when prices may have changed AGAIN) to get my issue of missing points resolved. Nowhere on the website does it say anything about them putting a hold on the remaining points. The website also says that I am to conduct as many transactions as I would like. I am absolutely outdone that I have to go through this much trouble for a program that I'm paying so much for. Stay as far away from RCI as possible.

Rci Timeshare in Lexington, South Carolina - At a loss as to how to deal with a Company that just doesnt care about anything but getting their mo

Deposited a week of my timeshare ($89.00). Paid ($199.00) for an exchange. Never got a confirmation. Called RCI on 1-7-12 (3-5 days to confirm exchange as advised by Travel Guide at RCI) No info from home resort. Called again 1-9-12. Same reply. Called again 1-10-12. Same reply. Called again. Travel guide said resort denied deposit due to unpaid maintenance fees. Called bank and requested cancelled checks ($10.00 fee for each check) .Checks showed that in fact both checks were cleared in early Nov.2011. Called RCI again.New answer...deposited week was returned to inventory by home resort. Finally got a rather terse letter from RCI stating that I needed to contact home resort (Aruba @ 7.2cents per minute) Bought a Skype acct ($10.00) and called home resort.Home resort stated that all fees were paid and that my weeks were AVAILABLE for exchange and they would send email to RCI. ^ hrs. later called RCI. Same reply , not available to deposit weeks for exchange due to unpaid fees... Was told that because today is a Federal Holiday things were slower than usual (never knew that email took MLK Day as a holiday and I do know that it is not a holiday in Aruba. If this trip wasnt a gift for my Grandchildren, I would ditch RCI, hire an attorney and try to get my $$$$$$$$$$$$$ back. NEVER USE RCI . Totally incompetent.
